This week we were lucky enough to be visited by Alison Phillipson, a literacy consultant who worked with our children and teachers to show how grammar can become amazing writing. Children from Year 2 to Year 6 took part, and as you can see from the pictures below, everyone had fun and produced some incredible work.
This week Mrs Brown is reading ‘Alice in Wonderland’ to the children of Key Stage 1.
In this week’s oracy lesson Year 6 were asked to choose items to take on a desert island. Would they sink or swim?
Todays World Book Day went so well at Whetley that time seemed to stand still!
This week Year 6 visited the Bradford Royal Infirmary as part of the Injury Minimization Programme for Schools. Not only did they find out how some injuries are treated in hospital but they also learnt how to save lives by administering CPR.
